ACCELERATION explores issues and themes around the Singulary- the idea that the acceleration of technology means artificial intelligence will surpass human intelligence and make itself increasingly smarter- possibly within our lifetime.

ACCELERATION is a character-driven film, following subjects whose work is intimately entwined with the philosophy and technology associated with the Singularity: a roboticist, a professional futurist, an AI developer and an activist. Their experiences raise questions- what risks or promises does technology offer in the future? Would a superior intelligence be friendly? The internet, iPhone, google, robotic surgery and implanted technology are now commonplace. Will we know or understand the Singularity when it arrives?
